Lake City, Minnesota is located 15 miles South of Red Wing, Minnesota on highway 61 South. It is one of the best photogenic spots on Lake Pepin.

Lake City is well known as the birth place for water skiing. The marina shown here is the largest small boat marina on the Mississippi River, and located two blocks East of the downtown business district.

In the Spring and Fall, many species of waterfowl can be seen from the shores of Lake Pepin. During the Winter months, dozens of eagles can be seen on the frozen lake catching their lunch.

Lake Pepin is a beautiful tourist area to enjoy not only water skiing, but is wonderful for sailing as well, while taking in the scenery of the bluffs all around you.

For those of you who are golf lovers, check out the Lake Pepin Golf course just 3 miles South on highway 61 from downtown Lake City, Minnesota. There is some breath-taking scenery to enjoy up on the hills.

For those of you who are bird lovers, check out the National Eagle Center in downtown Wabasha, Minnesota. You can enjoy seeing some wonderful Live Bald Eagles, and find out the history of these gorgeous birds. For more information contact 1-651-565-4989.
